Twilight - Breaking Dawn on the Virginia Peninsula

Twilight - From the Olympic Peninsula to the Virginia Peninsula (the Penni)

Being the Twi-Hards that we are and so far from Forks, WA, we decided to bring a little bit of  Twilight to Virginia.

The date has been set.
Guests were invited by receiving a very special invitation; the front, a replica of Bella and Edwards wedding invitation; and the inside, our party invitation.

As the party date neared, many preparations were taking place...four months worth to be exact!
After four plus hours of decorating, OOOS and AHHHHS, and a little bit of chaos,  it is time for our guests to arrive.

Guest celebrities walked the red carpet unsuspecting...

Strolling past the famous Forks High School, where Bella and Edward first met.

Entering the house, it is no surprise to see the Cullen and Hale graduation caps displayed on the grand staircase.

Continuing our journey, we are faced with that famous and sometimes heavily debated question...Team Edward or Team Jacob? You decide which way you want to go...I'm not here to judge...just giving the tour.

Over in LaPush, a tribute to Jacob the Alpha. Hot tamales, dog bones, pictures...

and look Rosalie was kind enough to drop off some of her famous kibble.

Jacob fearlessly protects the mantle, which is strung with some of our favorite quotes.

Our beloved Stephanie Meyer was with us in spirit and represented by a tribute to the Twilight series books. Each panel represents a book, with the opening book quote and preface.

The affair would not be complete without remembering the dear Bree Tanner...RIP Bree.

Of the Volturi, only Jane graced us with her presence, which was enough of the coven for one day.

And, although we know Riley is dead, we still sealed Bella's red shirt for the safety of our guests.

Over in Forks we snacked all afternoon. Yummy Edward and Jacob cupcakes.

Care for some fang-n-blood punch?

As Twilight was upon us, we head over to Bella Italia for dinner.

Each guest had a special place-setting.

They sat and chatted by candlelight as they waited for their meal. Dinner was a full course italian spread, from our famous local Joe and Mimma's Italian Restaurant; and featuring Bella's favorite, mushroom ravioli.

We had a special section dedicated to the Breaking Dawn movie, with the poster, Jacob and Edward plates, and a theme colored centerpiece with candy filled favors.

What's this in the bathroom? Twilight Woods body glitter and Bella's first aid kit! Looks like Bella has been practicing for her role as a vampire again. That means it must be time for ...

the journey to the wedding.

The setting was beautifully decorated with a wedding arch and hanging white garland flowers.

It was even more dreamy at night with lights aglow.

Enough about the wedding, it is off to the honeymoon.

While Bella and Edward were out for a swim, we snuck into the honeymoon suite. Feathers....hmmmm.

Looks like there has been some headboard damage.

Always a nice touch.

The honeymoon suite could not have been more perfect; except of course if we could have caught a glimpse of Edward.

At the end of the day, we sat around the Quileute fire playing Twilight trivia and sharing stories.

This party was epic. It did change lives.

Check back soon for more pictures.
